Stab binding Notebook Workshop

 3.5 hr workshop, £36 per person.

Try your hand at the art of Japanese stab binding. 

Based at Radbrook Green Community Centre, Shrewsbury, classes are small and friendly with a maximum of 6 people. 

Suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some bookbinding knowledge, this is an introductory workshop to the lovely style of Japanese Stab Binding, in which you will create a unique hardback notebook, from scratch, with your choice of bookcloth and patterned paper. 

In addition to making a notebook you will have the chance to practice several different sewing patterns, which you can use in your future projects.

All materials and equipment are supplied, additional materials will be available to purchase if you'd like to try projects at home. along with the very essential tea, coffee and biscuits. You may want to bring some paper if you want to make notes - or alternatively use your brand new handmade notebook! Please bring an apron.
